My cat Max hasn't been feeling well for the past several days. I was out of town last week and had him boarded with the Vet after he went for a thryoid check-up and to see why he was loosing weight. The Vet took some blood to check his thryoid and sugar level. I went down to Atlanta for a week and came back on Thursday night. Max was home and eating and seemed to be doing okay. Well, on Friday, he stopped eating and didn't eat for the rest of the weekend. He kept drinking water but that was it. I took him to the Vet Emergency Doctor this morning and she felt that Max had fluid on his lungs. She did a chest tap and drew off 365 milliliters! He's home now and seems to be doing a little better although he has yet to eat anything. I think he's just stressed because of the operation today and the shot of lasik he got to remove the existing fluid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because he's been with me since he was a baby (January 1992).Happy Memorial Day everyone!
